The Whales are coming

Every year over a 1000 Humpback Whales make the long trip from Antarctica to Hervey Bay, a three and a half hour drive along the scenic southern highway from Brisbane.
It is fortunate indeed for delegates to the ICML 2009 that this migration is at its strongest from the months of July to October.
This could well be a once in a life time experience for delegates and those seeking more information should visit the following sites.

A thousand whales????
Try about 12,000 - and growing in numbers each year.
It's a sight to behold when they come into Hervey Bay for a spot of rest and recreation and quite emotional for those lucky enough to get out on a boat and experience a close encounter with these magnificent creatures.
